Best place in town for Chinese takeout! It is quick and reliable. We have tried lots of the dishes here and none have disappointed us!

After reading the reviews we gave Jackie's a go yesterday. I sit here trying to write something still stunned by how truly awful everything was. The orange chicken had little strips of peel in a nasty sweet salty sauce. Chicken was deep fried, the taste unidentifiable. Perhaps the oil was way past it's dispose date. No flavor at all in any of our choices. Wontons were filled with calcified something...our dog sniffed and walked away. The egg rolls were hideous. My husband said it was hands down the worst chinese meal he has ever had. I concur.

Just moved to ft Myers and read the reviews on yelp and thought I would give it a try. WORST Chinese food I have ever had. Tasteless, nasty, chicken did not taste like chicken. Sauce was thick and chunky. I have had orange chicken for pretty much everywhere in Florida and this is by far the worst. Truly tasted like cat food. Restaurant needs to have a Heath inspection!

Jackie's was my go-to Chinese food restaurant while living in Ft. Myers for several years. Delivery was always so fast, and the food was always great tasting at a reasonable price. Definitely recommended.

Real deal Chinese takeout from the sparse and rundown decor, to the blazing woks behind the cashier. They did a great job with one of my favorites, Mongolian Beef. Beef and onion well proportioned not to mention a generous serving. Takeout only here and it's better to call ahead.

Food was legit Chinese food. Orange chicken was perfect fried chicken rice was delicious. It does say take out in the title so don't expect to eat there and be happy with the atmosphere and seating. It's straight up ugly and not really a place to dine in unless it for a quick meal. Other than that you can te the food was made with fresh ingredients and never frozen. Ragoons were great....dumplings we're finger licking good... Just great place highly recommend for take out or delivery if they deliver!!!

Love. Love. Love this place. Great food. Quick service and reasonably priced. I use to go to a place similar to this when I lived back home and I was thrilled to find this diamond in the rough! Definitely recommend it.

Prices go up at dinner time. Same portions. For carry out Chinese food this place has been consistently above average.

This little gem is across the street from Florida SouthWestern College. I wish I'd had a place like this across the street from me when I was in college! My wife and I ordered takeout from here a few nights ago for a quick, easy dinner. I walked in around 7pm, ordered my food, and walked out 10 minutes later. Jackie's was busy while I was there. Mongolian Beef is my go-to item when ordering Chinese takeout. I got chicken and vegetables for my wife. My wife wanted the veggies without the broccoli, and they accommodated my special order. My Mongolian beef was top notch, and the accompanying egg roll was fried to perfection. I wish my local Chinese takeout in Atlanta had Mongolian Beef and egg rolls that tasted as good. My wife also enjoyed her dinner - we both won clean plate awards. Jackie's is nothing fancy but definitely satisfies that craving for delicious, hot, quick Chinese food.

After seeing reviews, I had high hopes that the food would be amazing but I was rather disappointed. The prices are much higher than other traditional Chinese take-out places are (given the portions are larger) but quality was also lacking. The food was mediocre at best. My husband ordered General Tso and I ordered Bourbon Chicken and they were seemingly the same in both appearance and taste. The steamed dumplings were lacking filling as were the crab ragoons. Being that I am new to this area, maybe it is on par without other take-out restaurants but honestly I wasn't impressed and I doubt I will be returning.

Consistently delicious. Once again had the mei fun Singapore noodles, shrimp with snow peas in a black bean sauce, and Kung Po chicken with peanuts. Ordered small size shrimp and chicken dishes and small won ton soup. Everything was great and for $20 you have enough for two meals. You know it's good when you can enjoy it cold out of the fridge for breakfast the next day.

My first time there and I could not believe how dirty the place is. Ordered a combo dinner, it was OK but nothing to rave about. Wallpaper was hanging off the walls and chairs were held together with tape.

My mom and her husband don't hit the ball out of the park with their choices on dining out. Thankfully, I had my handy dandy iphone yelp app and talked my mom into trying a new spot for Chinese. Am I glad I did! Generous portions of freshly made yummy goodness, very inexpensive and the people there are just great. Now, this isn't the best Chinese I've ever had, but, by golly, it's the best Chinese food I've had in Fort Myers, hands down. We had the sesame chicken, pork fried rice and Chicken Chow Mei Fun. The Chicken Chow Mei Fun was amazing and I highly recommend trying it, folks. It's a rice noodle with veggies and chicken. YUM! The sesame chicken would have been absolutely delicious if I'd only remembered to get the sauce on the side. The sauce was good; not too sweet. However, there was a bit too much of it and the chicken wasn't as crispy as it could have been had I gotten it on the side. The pork fried rice was also very yummy. Overall, I was very pleased and plan to ask to go back next time we're in the area visiting.

With family in town for a visit, we were searching for good Chinese food like we were used to getting up in New England. Jackie's was just the place. We ordered numerous combos and sides for pick up. The food was ready when promised, packed well and piping hot. Best of all, everything was really tasty and prepared just like the Chines food that we love. We will definitely be ordering from Jackie's again!

I finally found a really good chinese take out restaurant. Nothing fancy but very tasty food and sizable portions. I had the General Tso combination plate and an order of steamed dumplings. Both were very good and the egg roll was excellent which is rare these days. I will return. Thank you and keep up the good work!

I can't say this is the BEST Chinese food in the Fort Myers area since it's the only Chinese restaurant I've been to here (just got here two days ago). I will say that compared to other Chinese food I've had (I'm from the NYC area), that it was average. Greasier than average egg rolls, decent crab Rangoon, and the Szechuan chicken could have been a lot spicier. My girlfriend got the General Tso's chicken and was pleased. It wasn't mind-blowingly good but it wasn't mind-blowingly bad, either. The star rating may change depending on whether I get a chance to check out any other Chinese restaurants.

This isn't the best Chinese food that I've had in my life, however, it has been the best Chinese food that I've had in Fort Myers. I would give this place a 4.5 but seeing how the other two reviewers rated it low I feel I have to make up for them a bit. I've ordered take-out from them a handful of times and they have been fast and consistent in quality each time. The crab rangoon is nothing to brag about, but their pot stickers are standard and their main dishes are excellent. My personal favorite of theirs is the Sesame Chicken. By the time I get home, 12 MILES AWAY (yes, I drive that far just to get my Chinese fix from them), the chicken is no longer crispy, so I pop it in a hot oven for 5 minutes and then it's absolutely amazing. I recently added their Tasty Donuts to my order on a whim, I ended up eating half of them (10 to an order for about $3.50) on the car-ride home. Delicious. I recommend them.

Generous portions, very inexpensive, quick friendly service. I've tried several takeout Chinese restaurants in the area and none are as good as Jackie's. I've only tried the General Tso's. It's my takeout staple.

You see it and its in this publix plaza and looks like any other china wok pos. Then you order their food and its huge portions for a great price. Lady who runs it is a typical Asian lady so she is very direct but very helpful and nice. I order here a lot now. the general sos chicken is good, crab Rangoon, and the wonton soup is amazing. Same 3 people here so you know its the same always. As for the time. its ready in 10-15 min to 20 tops.

My sister and I went here for takeout. First off they didn't take American express and then it took them 45 minutes to cook our food. When we got home I wasn't impressed. It was a lot of food but not very good food. Probably will not go back.

Huge portions! Their crab Rangoon isn't the best I've ever had but it's still good. I live really close by and usually I'll call my order in right before I leave to pick my food up and it's ready for me when I get there.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
